Sutras for an amateur ??

So, what sutras would you choose for a new buddhist, apart from dhammapada ?

I think the Kalama Sutta is a must for all beginners.

Thank you for the Kalama , but it is not that necessary ( shot me for my lack of diplomacy). Well, I've just finished translating it into the Romanian language , and it lies in a notebook full of Buddhist scriptures translations . It took me a lot of time to translate Dhammapada, Heart Sutra, and the Kalama Sutra .

Hi

I personally recommend the Anguttara Nikaya because it has alot of variety and mostly short suttas.
