Resources for someone looking into Chan/Zen Buddhism
Dear Friends,
What would be some good resources for a beginner concerning 禅 Chan / Zen Buddhism? Online, books, etc... is there a reputable website for locating a temple in my area? Thank you very much for any help.

Have a look at http://www.zenguide.com/ and http://www.dharmaweb.org/index.php/Texas
One in Austin... http://www.ibps-austin.org/ ,
and one in Houston... http://www.houstonbuddhism.org/
Good luck!
Definitely worth buying. You might be able to find the first one at a library.
Also check out www.mro.org. The site has meditation instructions, and the e-mail address for cybermonk, a senior monastic who answers questions by e-mail.
Peace,
Levi
