There is Beauty in the Breakdown
Day to day, things seems to remain much the same. But throughout our lives, we have experiences which hold enormous meaning for us – dear friends, past lovers, caring parents, breath-taking scenery, moments of personal triumph. These vary from individual to individual, but we've all had at least a glimpse of the immense Beauty of life.
I say ‘glimpse’ because it doesn’t seems to last. Eventually, it all breaks down. There’s a good chance you’re reading this right now feeling less than inspired. Maybe you're even a little sad or depressed. But if you’re like me, then there may be at least a part of you that’s still holding your breath hoping that sooner or later that feeling of awe-struckness is going to come rumbling back onto center stage.
<O:p</O:p
I keep coming back to Buddhism over and over again for a simple reason. Because it teaches me that there is beauty in the breakdown. Yes, its true that the beauty won't last, but its beautiful precisely
because it doesn’t last. So I know its okay to just let go.
Thanks for reading.
