Manjushri information

edited March 2010 in Buddhism Basics
Hi, I need to write a 5-10 page paper about Manjushri, specifically Orange Manjushri. I've looked for the last hour and not come up with much. Just wondering if anyone has any resources they could share with me?

thanks

If you want scriptural references to Manjushri, your best source is Jamgon Mipham's "A Garland of Jewels: The Eight Great Bodhisattvas." It's published by KTD Publications. It consists of excerpts from Mahayana sutras about the great bodhisattvas and Manjushri gets the largest share of the quotes. Much is said about his inconceivable qualities, how he attained enlightenment countless eons ago, will teach countless buddhas, and so on. There is also some dialog and teaching on emptiness.
