I've been working in a tribal school for the past few days, doing some electrical work. I saw this pinned to a board in one of the rooms. Thought y'all might enjoy. :D

    Reminds me of Platos idea of the self. On the bottom a monster in the middle a lion and on the top a lady. The lady has to teach the lion to fend of the monster. Id, ego, and superego of freud according to my doctor.

    Tara Brach recently read that story to her meditation group during one of her talks. It really struck me. I've read a bit about Native American spirituality and I'm always pained by how much we've lost by marginalizing these profound and ancient cultures.
