Ch-ch-ch changes

edited April 2010 in Buddhism Basics
So, I've been practicing consistently for about two months now, meditating in the morning for 15-30 minutes a day. On the couple days where I've been too busy to sit down, the rest of the day just seems a blur! It's amazing to see how one's outlook of life can change so drastically with only a few hours of sitting ;)

How did you guys feel after the first few months of starting the practice? Change for good? Change for the worse?

Not only has my life changed, but the effect of my meditation has changed!
I am able to operate much better after a good meditation.
I have my meditation down to this. Calm body and mind, use awareness like a mirror. It's as if, with the mind's awareness, you point it towards the mind, but you don't focus on the stuff in there or act on it, because that would not lead to stillness. So, while trying to do nothing with body and mind, the trick is getting the awareness right, which might happen in little short bursts, during which I notice a calming and liberating sensation.
