i'm somewhat new to this forum as well as buddhism...anyways my question is what is nirvana and can it be attained in this life and how? thx in advance

Nirvana is briefly, a total and complete cessation of suffering, or total transcendence, rising above, leaving behind.... This is, to my mind, achievable in one Lifetime, and the Buddha indicated the end of 'Suffering' through following the EightFold Path....diligently, devotedly and absolutely.... my words, not his.

i don't know if you can achieve nirvana in this life, but nirvana in my view is just a world without suffering. :mullet:
