I just found out that this group http://www.snowcrest.net/chagdud/main/rigdz.htm it is a mere 16 miles from me. They are located in Junction City. Does any one have any insight or dealings with them? I am looking for a home and a teacher. It is Tibetian Buddhism, of which I have little knowledge. Any insight would be appreciated.
Yours in the Dharma,
Todd

I am a member of Chagdud Gonpa. Check it out. I think you'll find what you're looking for. I moved to Junction City eight years ago to study meditation with Lama Drimed. Now I live in Douglas City.

Lama Choyang is wonderful too. Rigdzin Ling has a lot to offer.

I think the founder lived here in Brazil for a while, or wanted to make the base of his temples here, something like that.

    Skydancer,
What an incredibly small world. I too live in Douglas City and met Lama Choyang just last Sunday. I spoke with her in regards to having a teacher. Maybe I met you last Sunday? My background has been primarily in reading Zen Buddhism and Vipassana. As such my knowledge and grounding in Tibetian Buddhism is very limited. Thank you for your reply. Maybe I will see you up in Junction City.

    Hi Todd,

I often go to the Sunday meditation but I haven't been in a couple of months. You're in good hands with Lama Choyang. I look forward to meeting you soon.

    Dorothy

PS say hi to Lama Choyang for me unless I get myself there soon.
