I just wanted to share my some of my favorite music of late

It mostly comes from the peoples republic of tuva (in russia)

the style of singing is called "throat singing" and many practicioners can produce two notes at once! akin to humming and whistling at the same time, but a different technique altogether.

Cool! I was in Mongolia in 2005, and while throat singing sounds weird to my Western ears, it is fascinating as well. Thanks. I'll check these out when/if I get time!
