Help Identifying a Thangka

Hi there,

This Thangka was given to me as a gift by a relative that isn't Buddhist and purchased it for me on artistic merit.

I have seen and have a little knowledge of some of the more well known deities in Tibetan practice but i cannot find a reference for this one.

Any help identifying this Thangka would be greatly appreciated!
I wish I could offer more than just the pictures but that is all I have at this point. I will try to answer any questions that I can to aid in this process.

Much thanks ahead of time.

It looks like Yamantaka (sometimes Yamataka).

There are many forms of Yamantaka. This one is the solitary form that is commonly practiced in the Gelug lineage. Kyabje Ling Rinpoche is the primary lineage holder of this practice.

Thank you very much aMatt and Shenpen for the help!

This person? Kyabje Yongdzin Ling Dorjechang Rinpoche? 1903-1983? Has his re-incarnation been identified? because otherwise I wouldn't understand how he could "hold" this tradition while at the same time being non-existent.

Ling Rinpoche's tulku has been identified.
He is currently teaching and will most likely become more active soon.
