Social Anxiety (Social Phobia, Painful shyness) and Meditation

Meditation in combination with the 12 Steps has really freed me from / reduced my social anxiety issues. Mindfulness meditation / Insight meditation in particular were critical.

I needed to learn how to "be present" and then also (at times) be very present to my anxiety in my body so that it could dissolve / resolve.
