such queer queer dreams

this morning i dreampt i was out in the town with shunryu suzuki roshi and i was drinking a chocolate-flavored ale. all i can remember was we were sitting idly at a table together out on the sidewalk and he asked me would you like another? i don't think he was drinking but just me.

    i also had this dream last summer where i went to some religious congregation in a somewhat modern futuristic but sophisticatedly timeless temple or holy education institution and we were seated in a circular room with rows surrounding the lecture pit like a coliseum and there were two lithuanian what i presume eastern orthodox nuns in blue habits to my left (or my right) and the one asked the other who i suppose was in distress, "what tragedy has crashed upon your being which you call you?"

    I recently homebrewed chocolate ale but I don't look much like shunryu suzuki :lol:
