Hi. Theres a band called tool (metal band) pretty good too imo... anyways
Alot of they're lyrics ... I'd like to say that they say are about and focus on enlightenment but I've never heard them say it.. that's just what people interpret them as. They have however said that they're music requires participation.
Anyways I heard one of them one time say they majority of North Americans think they're watching a movie. Didn't expect that statement to be something I would think about alot but I found myself pondering about it.
What do you think about that?

Admittedly, I used to listen to Tool, but the above lyrics don't strike me as particularly enlightened, especially those parts in bold.
I heard Lama Surya Das say it ages ago, in either an on-line article, or one of his books, I forget which.
It's simply a way of saying we are self and Not-self... we participate in the action, but in actual fact, can step back, separate and observe....
Shows how insular they are though. I would expand that to include most of humankind...but I know an awful lot of Americans believe the universe ends at the East or West Coast.....
I have actually spoken to one who didn't know Italy was in Europe and that Paris was a capital, not a country...
Enjoy the popcorn.
With warmth,
Matt
I've been more interested in the mathematical themes in their music.
