Little Buddha

I was in a Buddhist monastery the other day and noticed a garden with small, youthful Buddhas in various postures (playing, meditating, etc.). What was the artist trying to convey?

    I think one would have to see the statues in order to tell. Postures and mudras are codified, so it isn't possible to tell without the exact image.
