tibetan

edited June 2010 in General Banter
Hi,
A Tibetan said he'd call my dog GYA DAK, which is Tibetan. Does anyone know what that means?

    dak doesn't seem to exist - but I found 'dag' which is pronounced with a hard 'g'...

    gya - 1) swift movement, glimpse, swirling. 2) intermittent flashing, flashing forth.
    dag - pure, perfect, correct, clean, noble, holy, sacred, cleansed, purified; edited, revised, corrected;

    There are other meanings for gya, but looking at the list, and considering the meaning of 'dag' I would surmise he intended this definition....

    Hope this helps.

    Oh - and - welcome!
    Hope you stick around!
