Instances of Enlightenment

My familiarity with the Pali Cannon is dwarfed by the familiarity with it many of you here have.

I do understand that there are many cases of people being enlightened in the texts, and I wonder if we could have some references to the various texts in the PC where these happen.

Generally the pattern used in those instances includes either the phrase "were released" or "were fully released." If you search those terms on accesstoinsight.org you should come up with a bunch of suttas.

Thank's for that. Interesting, I am sure there is another sutta with somone being enlightened and then being killed by a cow? The one who spent a night in the potting shed??Pattida or something?

I think if I ever do end up enlightened I am going to stay well away from Cows!
