I have words of my perfect teacher and it seems pretty plain , i like lamrim better.

Lam rim is a class of texts. Words of my perfect teacher is a practice commentary with a significant amount of lam rim style teachings.
Geshe Sopas commentary on Tsongkhapas lam rim is quite good.

geshe sopa's volumes are long, and most is already explained in Tsongkhapa but im gonna check it out.
