I Me Mine

i was thinking about the concept of the ego today and suddenly, this song by The Beatles came into my mind and i thought... oh, is that what this is about? haha. so silly that i never realized it before. sorry if this is old news, i'm probably the last on this bus... hehe

a quick google search found that apparently, george even said about this song, "it is about the ego, the eternal problem."

when you listen to the song, i particularly appreciate the contrast between the chorus and the refrain. one is lamenting, expressing a sad compassion, one is fast and screaming like a child, "I ME ME MINE!!!"

haha. i enjoy it.

All through the day
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine
All through the night
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine
Now they're frightened of leaving it
Everyone's weaving it
Coming on strong all the time
All through the day, I me mine

I me me mine, I me me mine
I me me mine, I me me mine

All I can hear
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine
Even those tears
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine
No one's frightened of playing it
Everyone's saying it
Flowing more freely than wine
All through the day, I me mine

I me me mine, I me me mine
I me me mine, I me me mine

All I can hear
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine
Even those tears
I me mine, I me mine, I me mine
No one's frightened of playing it
Everyone's saying it
Flowing more freely than wine
All through your life, I me mine <!--ringtones and media links -->
