23.08.2010 - as of Monday I'm officially a Nurse Anesthesia graduate student. Spent two days in Richmond (Virginia) for 'orientation' in the belly of the mother ship. I'm going to be attending at a satellite campus via synchronous tele-presence here in Roanoke (this is a good thing). Lots of dog & pony shows for two days, but much apprehension and fretting about the tasks ahead for the next 28 months, not least of which is our first exam in advanced mammalian physiology scheduled for a week from Friday! But I know we'll all get through it.

You fine folks may, and very likely will be the objects of my angst and/or anger from time to time as things progress. Just trying to keep my eye on the prize and my mind on the present moment though.

Om mani padme hum :)

Well, it's official - I'm getting my butt kicked. I swear the physiology instructor is speaking Martian or something. I see his lips moving, but I don't understand anything that comes out of them!

    Yikes!
