edited September 2010 in Buddhism Basics
1. What usually goes on at a temple?

2. How do I know if it's a good one or not?

3. What do I do when I get there?!?

    Hi, FB -

The answers are going to change, depending on which tradition or school of buddhism is being taught and practiced. As far as what you do (#3), if people there aren't willing to explain and help you, then I would try elsewhere (which is also one answer to #2).

Agreed. The people there should be willing to answer all your questions and help you learn what to do. Then if you get a bad vibe, it's probably not the one for you.
