How young can children start to practise meditation?

As above. Please advise.

And how should we introduce Buddhism and meditation to them w/o putting them off?

Thanks! Ideas welcomed!

As young as when they first express an interest in it. I wouldn't suggest trying to introduce them to it any farther than just explaining what meditation means to you. If they want to practice, they will on their own.

Just answer whatever questions they have about it. I think if you tried to actively force them to be interested in it, it would backfire. Don't force religion or spirituality on children.

    While still in the womb.
