Idleness

There are so many times during the day that I just don't know what to do with myself. I want to get out and do something, I'm just always out of ideas, so lately I've been watching way too much TV or spending too much time on the computer.

How can I fill my days without resorting to these distractions?

You live in Tucson! Do you know how many hundreds of miles of hiking trails there are within a few minutes' drive of your house? My sister lives there, and I've visited probably a dozen times and we haven't begun to scratch the surface of all the gorgeous trails there are to partake of.

I'm sure there are rescue missions that would love some extra hands now and then, and I'm positive the UofA hospital could use volunteer help. Those are ideas that just pop to mind immediately.

What a beautiful place to live - get out and enjoy it! :)

Meditate, read a book, hang out with friends, go to a temple, go for a drive/ride, learn a new skill... and so on.

I don't have much going on in my life, and I spend most of my time studying and contemplating and discussing things with people online. Then I meditate. And I watch some tv and play videogames, but that's certainly not the majority of my time.
