new kadampa tradition?

This is the only tradition which has a center anywhere near me. I'm considering driving an hour and a half to a place since I would proly just go like once a week anyways, but it would be nice not to have to drive so far. That being said, i'm pretty sure i've seen people on here say that there's some sort of controversy with them. Would anyone who knows care to elaborate?

    You need to do a great deal of research about this tradition before considering participating.
    And if this is the centre that is charging membership fees.... well.

    I'm not surprised it's them.

    Previous experience tells me this one's better left to the OP to research and learn about.
