Exhaustion?

edited November 2010 in Buddhism Basics
Anyone else experience extreme exhaustion early on in their discovery of Buddhism?

I'm in good shape, not depressed, not drinking, good diet... and pretty much when I started reading and learning and Buddhism, including daily meditation, I've been getting exhausted during the day. I mean, 1-2 hour nap type exhausted.

I think it's from the new layer of thought added to the mindstream, but of course it could be almost anything.

Anyone else get this?

Our ego can very very very sneaky and knows us well. Perhaps this is your minds way of resisting the change that you are attempting to make.

Yes, and I had a blood test and was discovered to have a vitamin B12 and an iron deficiency - both unrelated to my Buddhist practice. You should always get checked out by a doctor if you're regularly feeling exhausted.

Nope, but I got it before I became a Buddhist and found out it was Anemia. Try and talk to a doctor about it. It could be a sign of something more serious. I hope it's nothing.
