To fall in love while meditating

edited November 2010 in Buddhism Basics
Hi, I have one question: Has anyone of you ever fallen in love while Vippassana meditation with another person in the room? Why does it happen?

I would think that is not possible. If you fall in love while meditating - then you're not meditating.
I would say it's an empathetic fixation.

Perhaps you should elaborate before further comment, but I would suggest if such a thing happens, someone isn't being Mindful............

Are you sure you didnt fall in infatuation during a lapse in mindfulness?
Love takes a bit more time than a meditation session.:)

Breathe in, Breath out, Fall in love from a recent NYT article.

It's an entertaining read about Vipassana Romance, but I found it ridiculous and completely lacking in any real insight.

The author flitted around in it like an insect; from flower to flower she alighted, never once obtaining any nectar.
