What now?

edited November 2010 in Meditation
During a certain point in meditation, the mind becomes more calmer for me and I can 'observe' or 'step out of the way' and realize when a thought comes (through mental noting).

Is this all too it? How did the Buddha become enlightened from meditation? Which method did he do?

Thanks, all the best to all.

i think he took mindfulness to an intense degree , so that eventually he became mindful of things that less experienced people would not see at all
    buddha meditated a lot
    and he was very determined

I'd suggest metta meditation as a next step.

    Buddha bless,

Conrad's advice is good. Although I would do death and impermanence meditations first.

Sure. Really, the question, Pilot, is what you want to cultivate next.

    Buddha bless,

    Conrad.
  • Live in and for the moment, Free yourself and Practice Love in all you do. Start by Loving and Accepting yourself Entirely, regardless of what you have done, practice kindness randomly by doing what you can to help the 'other guy'.

When I do my Random Kindness, I stop and assist whenever I see a person in difficulty, whether it is a youth destroyed by the loss of their first Love, or changing a tire for a Woman. I then take my leave BEFORE they can thank me, or ask my name........
