A 9 minute poem

edited November 2010 in Arts & Writings
I find myself lost in a familiar world,
Alien to everything I know and love,
In a place depicted on no map,
Stuck within a truly complex trap.

I trudge among the masses that exist,
Scanning for your alluring face and complexion,
Here we are all mere cattle,
Each alike without distinction.

I miss you daily without fail,
My ability to forget is too weak.
The sun shines when you are near,
Now you are gone it is all too bleak.

With everything that has transpired,
My views remain and feelings continue,
To me you will always be Novella,
No other appellation aside from Bellissima

My feelings will never depart and die,
For eternity they will prosper,
Please do not ever forget,
It is my soulmate that I have met.

Very nice poem. the title caught my eye... I enjoyed reading it.

It also reminded me of how I have felt most of my life. I have always observed the world around me, and had my own thoughts & views as I gaze out through the windows that are my eyes.

    Thanks for sharing

I am glad that you can relate to it, prose and poetry would be obsolete otherwise. This was literally a mix mash of thoughts I have had for a long time, m one big hindrance across the dharma path. On the whole I am a pretty good buddhist, until it comes to this hindrance lol
