I saw this online and couldn't find any source as to where it came from:
At first I looked at the clouds and they were just clouds. Then I was learning the Way, and they were no longer just clouds. Now I have learned the Way and they are once again just clouds.

It sounds fairly Zen to me. But it could be from a really bad movie or something.

I think it was more about rivers and trees, or something. I've heard it before, but not in a movie; book or lecture on Buddhism.

Before I had studied Zen for thirty years, I saw mountains as mountains, and waters as waters.

When I arrived at a more intimate knowledge, I came to the point where I saw that mountains are not mountains, and waters are not waters.

But now that I have got its very substance I am at rest. For it's just that I see mountains once again as mountains, and waters once again as waters.
