I know the precepts but lets expand on that or them? A little bit deeper. Or simplify maybe give me something to go on.. What do you think?

Comments

  • It's probably better to treat them with simplicity first. Most are really how a normal person should behave in society.

Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not lie, Do not commit sexual misconduct (easit way to think about it is that "am I really having with sex with that person because I hope to have a emotional relationship with them or am I just intoxicated with lust") and Do not take intoxicating substances (No drugs and alcohol!)

  • Do what's right. That's about as basic as it can get.

Motivation is everything. The above example (sexual misconduct) is a good example of how to always examine your motives behind taking a course of action. That's what will guide you.

a deep understanding of ethics allows for big enlightenment because the world is understood clearly

best not to underestimate the role & value of understanding ethics for the purpose of liberation
