May or may not help you ^

I was wondering, how do you know when to classify questions accurately?
From your points of view.

Namaste :)

  • I use mental examples that make it easier for me to remember. I also remember asking a whole lot of these back when I just got started. Remember, there are no stupid questions, only people struggling to escape the wilderness of suffering.

    1. "How far is up?" type questions. In other words, questions that appear to have an answer, but show a fundamental misunderstanding of the subject. The most common question without a simple answer. Questions like, "Will I be reincarnated?" are this type. Misunderstanding of the self, the "I", in this case. "Are you enlightenend?" is another good one.

    2. "Where does the Easter Bunny get his eggs?" type questions. Questions that assume the existence of the subject without evidence. God questions, certainly.

    3. "Who made the arrow sticking out of my chest?" The familiar questions that are irrelevant category. Has a potential answer, maybe, but the wrong focus.

    4. "What does my face look like?" type questions. Questions that can best be answered by asking the person to look in a mirror.

And of course, a lot of questions fall into more than one category.

  • All right, thanks!

I think it will take a while before I can completely grasp these things.
