On the path, I practice Vipassana and metta meditations. In my practice I have experienced some things I would like to share, I write as these things are my experiences and no longer just my intellectual understanding. I have come to the idea that compassion, loving-kindness and acceptance is the cornerstone of practice. Understanding oneself, having compassion for oneself, loving-kindness and accepting everything about oneself leads to the same for others. This understanding leads to the understanding that there is no separation between oneself and others. This in turn leads one to understand one's ideas of self and ego are concepts, mere fabrications and to percieve others in this light as well. This seems to be going the way of annata, though I would not state that I have a real grasp on emptiness (other than an intellectual one, and we know what the finger pointing at the moon is). This is where I am at. It has been a wonderful, profoundly joyous experience. I feel like I am seeing sentinent beings for the first time. Please share your thoughts and feelings as this has shifted my practice in immeasurable ways as of late.
Buddha bless,
Todd

All the best,

May you continue & grow in what you are practising.
Freeing the mind of like & dislike and taking refuge in clear consciousness is the gateway to all liberating dhammas.
Thank you also for sharing.
