Help! What are the main books I need? I was also wondering about some sort of graph..? haha

What is the main book or books of Buddhism in order? Also I was wondering if there is somewhere or if someone could show me a "graph" or table like.. the 4 truths, then the 8 fold path, or do they even go in order? I know about the 3 poisons and the 5 something? Is there some sort of essential that would help me understand as much as the eightfold path and 4 truths has made me understand? I will gladly eventually read the whole book and teachings.

There are no main books. The Pali Canon is a collection of teachings, but I don't think it's what you're looking for. Buddhism for dummies is a great book for understanding what it's all about.

You can't take it in all at once. Learn one step at a time and get the rhythm. Like music you learn notes? But whats the use if you don't get to feel something in the music?

Anyhow it took buddha a long time to think of all those teachings. Putting too much pressure is counterproductive.

At the end of the day think of how your day was. Thats sort of a graph? The reality and the ideal.

Thich Nhat Hanh something about heart of buddhism? Mindfulness in Plain English foreign name? Meditation, was that it, by Kathleen McDonald? The Path of the Sacred Warrior by Trungpa Rinpoche? Start Where You Are by Pema Chodron?

Always fun to read a book about Buddhism where, at the end, the main idea behind the book is that you can't learn about Buddhism by reading a book.
