It's called a Mandlebrot Set - a fractal image that is calculated mathematically, with self-generating unique patterns.
See

And it looks cool. The "buddhas" are the stable points in the generation process.
Hmmmm....

I got my chocobo from www.drgid.com
How is it possible to not know!
You kidding?
I grew up play Final Fantasy. In fact, here's a little newbuddhist trivia: I once borrowed Brian's version of Final Fantasy VI (U.S. version III) way back in the day.
True story. Kefka rocks my world!
Hail Final Fantasy!
Jason
Zenmonk -
I love your desktop.
Reminds me of the one where Man and God are still in the picture, but God is saying, "Pull my finger..."

Love the mandelbrot's!

I made it a long time ago to remind myself of things on a daily basis.

Kefka! He's a *******! You can get a copy of FFVI for £9.99 now!
I never completed that game - didn't know what to do a little after the world was destroyed...
Any way, if you would like to discuss Final Fantasy some more, click the banner in my sig.
You can view more information on XII at www.ff12.com (the official site of FFXII) - and those of you who took the time to click my sig. will notice my comment on this site-
it's especially good for those of you who speak Japanese.
But then again, Elizabeth Windsor....
(that was a joke!)
(Elizabeth Windsor is also known as the Queen of England for those who do not know)
I think it's Latin for
"You kiss almost as good as my brother."

Bueno.

Gosh, it's been forever and ever. Missed you lots.

(I had to have rubber padding put over all my walls, and so the wallpaper is all covered up. The men in the white suits won't let me decorate and I can't find pics of the old walls. Otherwise I'd share, too.)
I hopped on here to see what Pal posted and he took it down already!
Bad monk! Bad Monk! sssst!
(I sound like The Monk Whisperer...)

It was too big. It wouldn't let me post it. But you can see it on Flicker (which is where I got it) here.
Palzang
Nice one. Where is it?
Palzang
I'm not really sure.
Here's mine (how embarrassing):
I change my wallpaper every couple of days or so though...

A year and a half ago, I visited Portland's Japanese garden. The photo reminds me of that beautiful place.

I love all kinds of maples and the Japanese maple is one my favourites. It has both an ethereal quality and an earthy quality juxtaposed but in harmony. It's a beautiful tree and the one in this pic is magnificent. I just love the sheet moss that's growing on its upper branches.
Is it okay if I use it as my wallpaper?
Thanks, river.
Blow it out yer ear, Comic.
