The end of the world has come and gone ... again.

My understanding of the sentiment in the Christian writings is that we will not know when, thus each day could be our last, for whatever reason - lol ..... the weather patterns do seem to have be rather wild and we have had lots of natural disasters recently - very sad and difficult times, agree with genkaku that the the end of many worlds has come and gone and continues to do so, for as long as it does ..... I am not sure what is the intention of the christian church, most commentary about end of the world stuff here in Australia which I have come in contact with has been what could be described more accurately as New Age rather than Christian.

It really not according to "Christians", it according to 1 guy, Harold Camping, who happens to be a persuasive radio broadcaster.

"All conditioned things are impermanent" — when one sees this with wisdom, one turns away from suffering. This is the path to purification.

    Agreed.
if you can't say anything nice(ly) it's best to practise Right ('silent') Speech....

I think this question has been addressed before. M-A-N-Y times.....
if you all feel you'd like to cobntribute more to the OP's question, it might be more appropriate and skilful to do it via PM's.
