    lol How cute !

Actually I used the wrong terminology - they call it Champions League.

Well I think it is just soccer (is that what you guys call it)

And it is basically the big European play off where teams from all over Europe play each other until the last two teams are standing.

This year it was Manchester United (England) and Barcelona (Spain)

A game I watched was Barc versus Real Madrid (also Spain) and that was just full of antics, game playing, pretending to be hurt etc so it wasn't very satisfying. Also the coach of RM wouldn't even shake the other side's hand after they lost. Pretty poor sportsmanship.

But THIS game that I was talking about was good. Good playing, great skills from some of the Barcelona players etc

Hope that clarified (a little??) ;)

Well I guess they should still be proud - second place is hard to beat but with guys like Messe et al on the Barc side, well they just weren't able to beat that measure of superiority.

I was gutted for the losing side (usually am :p ) but it was a good fair and skilful game so I was pleased with that :)
  • Well Abu I was just amazed how Man United didnt have anything to answer back. I agree that Barca is great but sheesh...even amongst the best you should be able to get in some nice counter attacks.
  • hehe Yeah they were weaker but I think the Barc play was really aggressive. Every time I saw Man U own the ball, Barc were all over them like a rash. I think the ball possession rate ended up at about 33/67% (Barc dominant)

Anyway another day, another way :)
    Cheers.

At the end of the day Barca were a different class, Man U just could not live with them. Messi ran the Man U defence ragged, and as a Newcastle United Fan I thought it was GREAT :D
I usually say this about Man U and Newcastle, so its great to see Man U feel what I feel after my team play them
Roll on next season Newcastle to win the Premier League, I know Im dreaming again
