Meditation timers

Here I found some timers that you can use to meditate with. They sound for every stage of meditation, as in breathing meditation or metta bhavana. I find they help so I am not getting too caught up on some particular aspect and can move on.

I dont know how common these are, I at least found out about them only today.

I tried something similar and found I'd miscalculated the number of bells that had passed on my MP3, like NOTaGangsta, I find the countdown timer on my phone a lot simpler.

I had fun with this a while back. I used a computer program to create an audio cd of different atmospheres, or just downloaded them from the internet. Then I would add certain sounds like birds chirping to remind me that an hour had passed. This worked out really well. I don't really use timers anymore now that I try to meditate whenever I can.
