Whats the best thing you ever did?
I was just talking about that with my mom on the way to the hospital. She had been feeling tired when walking the dog. So I was feeling lethargic and she says she is going to walk the dog and see if she feels tired again and debate if she should go on a trip the next day or see the doctor. So I say ok.. you know 'whatever'. Then I thought a second and decided I would go with her even though I thought she was ok.
On the walk we decided to see the doctor that day. And I even walked home and picked her up in the car. That is where we had our conversation still thinking nothing of the tiredness. She said she had saved a cat's life who was lost and she looked for it every day and found it and nursed it back to health. I said I didn't know. Now I do. The best thing I did was take her to the doctor. She had blood clots in her lungs and it was very fortunate she got care.
I don't mean to brag. I feel kind of weird about that. I'm more venting because I have this going on in my life. She is ok right now just dissolving the clots with heparin in the hospital.

I was going to buy something from the vending machine at my library, but there was a girl next to me who kept checking the coin despensers at the bottom to see if anyone left their change. I bought her something instead. She looked really hungry.
I mean, it's nothing major, but for some reason it made me feel good about myself. I think it's because I was hungry myself and I hadn't really eaten that day.
what a rude awakening to different states of consciousness.
ever since then i've been drinking more beer and enjoying life more.
life as it is. in its suffering and joy. it is beautiful!
