Okay, I admit it, I'm ranting here...

Why is it SOOOOOO hard for people to drive in the right hand lane on the highway (in America, where we drive on the right)????? When I learned to drive, the instructors went out of their way to emphasize that (at least in the state of Michigan) it's *illegal* to drive in the left lane unless you're actually passing someone. You pass (smartly, not at a closing speed of .0000003 mph), then you get back over into the right lane. Is that so very hard to understand? This is *ESPECIALLY* true if you're driving below the posted speed limit!

It's no wonder we have road rage...

Okay, rant over now!

:)

  • And another thing. Somebody has to tell those mosquitos to stop biting people!! (just kidding around)
  • Mts., I've been in CA for about a week, driving around, and I notice it's radically different here, than in NM, where I live. Here people do just as you describe; they stay in the right lane unless they need to pass someone. In NM, drivers use all the lanes all the time. They also tend not to use their turn signals. I could go on and on. It's so civilized here on the coast!

But Mts., now that you're out of medical training, you're suppposed to be relaxed and mellow, and not given to rants. So...what's up with that?

Sometimes I think Buddhism missed the boat by not providing a little corner of practice in which anyone could just get their rocks off without someone else waxing wise and serene.
