Hi guys, does anyone have any recommendations on incense burners -- I just ordered some Sandalwood incense and there seems to be a variety of holding apparatuses. Also, how are you? =)

A bowl about 70% full of salt or sand can do the trick.
  • I have used a large blob of modelling clay on a glass dish before now. Basically, as long as it holds the stick semi-upright and doesn't present a fire risk, you can use anything at all.
  • Most shrines use some sort of deep bowl filled with sand. The flat boards with the little curved end and a hole that became popular in the -60s are kinda messy and not really as good. Plus, you can find a really neat bowl at any thrift store and change it whenever you want.
