Song loops And Their Relevance

There have been threads about loops of songs, pats of songs or noises constantly playing over and over in ones mind, but today I woke uo and I still have the luyrics, ''I can't get no, satisfaction, and I try, and I try, and I TRRRRY, but I can't get no, satisfaction.'' For those who do not know, that was by the fantastic rolling stones.
That actually carries a lot of releva and to me right now in my life, but I have not liatened to that song for quite some time, so to wake up with this looping over and over is quite remarkaable in the sense of how the brain works IMO.

i wake up with random songs playing in my head all the time. i think the best way to get rid of it is to listen to something else. but yes, i can see how that song loop might be particularly meaningful for you... or for all of us, really, lol.

It use to bother me, but now it more interests me than annoys because it gives me an insight into how my brain is functioning.
I have to laugh whilst I am in the shower or brushing my teeth whilst that rolling stones lyric loops over.

Ajahn Chah once said that if you strive for liberation, you will never get there. NO SATISFACTION! I also was listeneing to a dharma talk earlier and the monk was saying how we all try to find satisfaction in exterrnal things, when it should come from within.

Anybody with lyrics or phrase loops, please post them as I am a curious cat

I like trying to find some meaning for my life from songs running through my head. It turns it into kind of an automatic mantra instead a complete annoyance.
  • That is a very good way to view such a thing. If I for example take those lyrics I had stuck within my skull by the rollin stones, it is kind of like a mantra. You can turn it into a teaching, striving for this satisfaction at 'girly' bars as it goes, but the satisafaction never comes, or if it does it won't be there for too long

Eckhart Tolle said that Satisfaction is the song of the ego.
