Beginners Mind has many possibilities

Keeping a beginners mind can be helpful to ones practice and assist us in keeping with the 8 fold path. Today, we see less and less of it. Do you find that it helps you in your practice? And if so how?

  • I do not know if today we see more or less of it. What is most important, I feel, is for each person to just keep up their good practice. So called beginners' mind can be the fruition of that, but it is not easily reached via the intellect IMO.

Staying in a beginners mind....I call it staying hungry. Practice is the buffet that I am constantly stocking with food. That being said...Alot of Buddhists behave as if they are already full. The cloak of "advancement" is what holds back the hunger and excitment for more. May I always work to stay hungry.
