I don't think anyone mentioned Kundun or Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring.

I think the film 'Ikiru' relates directly to Buddhism in the sense that it is a film about a man that spends his last few weeks living devoted to helping others. Here is a link:

It's a marvellous film. I got it when my father was ill, as I wanted to watch a film that might help me better understand what it's like (a perspective) to have a terminal illness. (I know that might sound a bit weird, it was just part of how I coped) I finally watched it 4 months after he died, and it really moved me. It's a very special film, and I.M.O a film that anyone with a remote interest in Buddhism will appreciate.

I have Person's 3rd one "The Buddha" a PBS documentary. Liked it so much I bought it on DVD so that I could enjoy it any time I wanted. You can watch it by segments here:

Two absolutely brilliant films by Korean directors. Why Has Bodhi Dharma left for the East? made in the 1980s, and the much more recent Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring, the latter obviously very much inspired by the former, both equally as good. Highly recommended.

I have seen: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring, and I think it is one of the best Buddhist movies I have seen in a long time!
