If you are in Denver

About the only thing important right now is that the Broncos won a playoff game that they were not expected to win in the slightest, and it was tied in overtime ending in an 80 yard pass and run deal. I actually watched an entire game of football, got a lot of crochet done as well, but this is so exciting! Okay not sure about the football fan-dom here but it was fun to watch such an exciting game.

  • It was a good game... Didn't know Tebow could hit the deep stuff like that. I don't think anyone can argue now that they can win any game playing like they did today.

I'm a Niners fan and my son is a Broncos fan... Would be fun to see them play.

I am not even watching football. I care about Basketball!:) Of course Soccer and... Cool ass Olympics!
  • On early monday morning I have this dilemma; meditate or watch the highlights of American Football on internet.
I’m usually a supporter for the underdogs, so I was happy for the Broncos and a bit disappointed with the Lions.
  • I was rooting for the Lions, they looked good in the first half! Yay football.
  • I'm with Zenff, I had to root for the underdog in the Bronco game last night, and was thrilled to see them win!!!

I can't understand why the Steelers didn't have a safety deep when the Broncos had been going long all night. Best game of the weekend.

  • I'm starting to get interested in the strategy: cover 2 (what's that), run blitz, pinning the ears back on the line, man to man, etc... I never gave football players credit for smarts but there is quite a chessmatch. Not that there isn't a bell curve of football smarts amongst the players.
  • Not that Christians need any help feeding the Tebow/Jesus connection, but the favorite phrase of the Tebow fans is "I Believe"... now look at his numbers for the game... 316 passing yards, averaging 31.6 yards per completion. Now the most quoted bible scripture has to be John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" Now who is still alive in the playoffs? :)
  • If he wins its God's fault and if he loses it's his fault :P
  • Cant say that there has been a surge of church attendance in Denver, but it would be interesting to see after football season. Right now there is a conflict with the actual football games and church.
  • Sorry the Broncos season came to an end, but the bright side is that they accomplished so much more than anyone expected... A really good year for them, and gives them something to build on next year.

The real excitement today though was in San Francisco.... Oh My Goodness, I have not seen such an exciting game in a long long time... Really enjoyed that show.

God must like Tom Brady, that had a child out of wedlock, than Tim Tebow.
  • Ahh federica, so football is the huge sport in the US. I was raised in a total football family but of course I had to spend decades expressing my independance from them, so there! Well after years of stomping out on my own, doing everything different, etc. I just decided with the influence of many things to not be so special. And my 'guy' is a huge football fan, he just loves it. So I decide to watch one football game after years of not watching and it turns out to be one of the most exciting games ever for Denver! It was tied at the end of the game and in the 11 seconds of overtime there is a pass and a run for something like 80 yards, the Bronocs won, and they were not supposed to come close to winning.

The Tim Tebow thing is crazy here. On Friday the kids at one of my schools made Broncos posters and then all posed like Tebow in front of them. Just fun.
  • I'm a Tom Brady fan as he was the quarterback of my school while I was attending! Go Brady, Go Blue!!
