    pretty broad question I guess.

    Is that the buddhist thing? Can you explain it?

    Any other thoughts?

    I don't believe that's strictly accurate... but i see what they mean.
    Although it's a little over-simplified....
  • “By detachment from appearances - abiding in Real Truth. - So I tell you - Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world:
    A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
    A flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
    A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream. “

    These famous lines are from the Diamond Sutra.
    Maybe this someone is trying to say something similar?

    actually I don't remember the first short part of the conversation I just had it stuck in my mind so he probably was simplifying it.

    Everything comes back to zero. Everything comes back to one. It is neither an inclusive nor exclusive matter. Real and unreal do not come into play...they just play.
  • Buddha attained supreme enlightenment under the bodhi tree when gracing upon the stars. Is he gracing the stars or the stars gracing him, or both having the same grace beyong life and death :D
