  • Then you haven't looked through the pics. Mine was provocative. Or could be viewed that way. I'm with my girl @raine on this one. But I see your point
It may be an image of feminism, ladies. I can't speak to what Wally B's perception of it was but I suspect it was to emphasize female dominance because the guy appears to be tied up. Thus I labelled it kinky as in unusual for this forum. I don't recall seeing anything even approaching the forcefullness of it on this forum before.
  • ^ (Deciding whether or not to blush.) I didn't know you had provocative pics, Lady_A. :D I guess perhaps I should pay more attention to people's images here --or not.

Yes @Raine I didn't want to say this much 'till now(because threads here can get off topic in the blink of an eye) but I do recall vaguely seeing this drawing somewhere before and most likely it would have been kink related if anything. That said though the thought of it being evocative of feminism would have never entered my mind. I am a guy after all. :)

Oops, another preconception down the drain!

  • @namino I thought you were a girl! My turn to blush.
  • Ok now it's getting really strange in here. Should we move this to a new thread instead of hijacking this one?

haha! ^_^ Just a temporary diversion, I'm sure we can get back on topic. Wow, see what happens when someone posts a suggestive cartoon? *whew*

Where's our OP? To get us back on track: some of the material in the sutras is said to be a later influence, and it's believed by some that sexist monks added their own views. Also, in order to prevent the monks from getting distracted, women were made out to be evil temptresses out to subvert the monks' practice, and so on. The Buddha probably didn't believe that stuff, but if you look at the Vinaya, you'll see he had a real challenge in keeping his monks focussed on practice.
