Is this something like the matrix? My theory is that a lot of what we mentally observe as other people in our thoughts/contemplations is actually a way to deal with our own life. In particular the mind has energy points revolving around shame, fear, anger, guilt, and every other place where we are vulnerable.

Yes it's easy. When you keep going into creation without keeping your inner power of stillness you can keep going until you end up in a cycle you can't stop. Especially if you go to jail or are a criminal or even a mental illness, do drugs. You can be in hell on earth with any of these. I think all people should do VSED at the end of life and prevent themselves from gaining to much negative karma at the end of life. That is another subject. Any one of these can create a spiral into a negative loop into creating an inner hell. I have created an inner hell by the life I have lived with my attachments to external things. My attachment to external things has lead me to get a health condition and that has lead me to taking some hormones and that has lead to opening up an inner hell in my mind. I went kind of schizophrenic for a month. I'm fine now but I know I opened something bad that will be hard to close. That is how it is with many people. Some it's drinking some it's drugs, others it's sex. Whatever the attachment.

I guess the big question is how much negative karma do you typically get rid of between incarnations. Also what kinds of karma do you typically get rid of on the other side.

Also beings will typically go to where the rest of humanity is going. So like if humanity is typically going to hell then that is where you will likely go. Then vise versa to heaven too. Luckily the universe balances all this out.

I agree with some of what you have said Astral, but some of it I do not, partly the last paragraph. I understand how we create out own hells in this life through our karma, simple cause and effect in mental and physical is something that coverns our world.

If you committ an act in the morning for example that is negative, lets say you speak ill of sombody who is within your family and you care about just before going to work, that act has arisen and passed, but the feelings related to that act can linger on into the day and even a bit longer maybe. The inner afflictive emotions are the worse enemy to a human according to the Dalai Lama, by the way Alison has a crush on him hehe

Sound interesting - dont think I understand what you define as 'creation' and nor 'going into it' and nor how it can 'control' you or where the 'control of you' comes from? Can you please expound your theory further... perhaps by defining these points and some applied practical examples to digest?

I think? what you're saying is that we can get caught up in our delusions and get carried away by them.

You have encountered the Dharma and presumably other psychological and spiritual techniques for bringing about happiness. So now that you have access to the tools needed do what you can to create positive habits and karma. You won't be perfect but just do something.

Oh my gosh. I would imagine that once you plant a new negative seed of karma it would be hard to get rid of it's root if it's really watered a lot in one lifetime. You may not be able to ever get rid of it till you go to hell for a long time. Kind of like a weed that is dominant over the nicer, calmer, peaceful plants, and roots.
