Yeeehaw!! My wood cook stove is sold (and gone)!!
Now I can get new windows before winter!! It'll be so odd not to feel the winter wind howling through the living room as we huddle in front of the (other) wood stove
The stove I sold was a beautiful porcelain and cast iron Waterford cook stove in my kitchen. I'd never used it in the ten years I've been here, and it seemed like an awfully valuable piece of decoration. I nearly fell off my chair when I found out the same stove new from the same place it was purchased in 1991 is now over $6000. I sold it to a young hippie couple locally who are moving "up" to a 24' diameter yurt (from a 12x16' sod cabin) and who want to heat and cook with the stove. This I gotta see!
Good to live in an area with a high hippy population.
