I have piddled myself with excitement!
BEHOLD! the future is now! It's a bit gimmicky and slow, and loaded with non lethal weaponry. With features such as the "smile to shoot" system where the guns only activate when the pilot is smiling, as well as the ability to control it remotely from your smart phone, it is more flashy than practical. But it is the step in the right direction. Pretty soon they will be faster, with heavier armor and with more impressive weaponry. Some applications of this thing could be for riot control , actual combat (once improved) and I'm sure it could handle construction or search and rescue, because its arm mounted weaponry and be replaced with fully controllable claws, meaning it could help build a building, or remove debris from a disaster area so workers can get to the trapped people inside.
Naturally this is only in its very first stages and I doubt we will see it put to any actual use outside of a new plaything for wealthy playboys. Anyone can purchase one of these through contract with the company for $1.35 million USD.

I'm gonna write Santa a real nice letter this year.
And yeah, running off of diesel or gasoline isn't something I'd prefer, but what other fuel systems could work for it? electric might work but I'm sure the battery pack would double the size of the torso and it would run out in an hour or two tops. Still, if this thing is street legal (which it has to be since I doubt there are any laws regarding mechs, yet) I couldn't resist rolling through town or the countryside in it, snapping off salutes and whatnot. Someone experiencing road rage in this would be terrible though. despite the fact that it only has toy weapons the claws or just using the arms themselves could eviscerate a person or demolish another vehicle.
I'm sure there are rather Buddhist ways of using this vehicle though once they refine it. moving cargo, search and rescue, construction, demolition... all sorts of things.
I'm looking forward to someone switching the BB miniguns with paintball miniguns and instead of water rockets have them be paint rockets. now that would be a sport I would watch if it were televised.
There are many more, "better", models awaiting construction I'm sure.
Certainly helps to cut out attachment when one realizes that what they can get will not ever be "new" and better than everyone elses toys. It is trivial pursuit.
