Well Guys.. nerves/retreat

edited September 2012 in Meditation
My first meditation retreat is tomorrow.

As some of you may now, I've dealt with depression/anxiety/panic attacks, and while I am more capable of managing these things than I was just a year ago, I'm not sure that I have it all together. Oh well, I'm still going tomorrow. I don't know if this is a "dark night" experience, seeing everything dissolve before me or if it is just depression/anxiety. No matter, I'm still going tomorrow. I'm just nervous about "who" will emerge from the other side on September 16th.. :-/

  • The best experiences are those that take you out of your comfort zone, forcing you to focus more on the experience. One thing guarunteed, it will be a new experience, and your bound to walk away with a new perception. Sounds like a win-win scenario to me... enjoy :)
  • Thanks @Telly03 . I hope to share my experience with you all, afterward.
  • I'm anxious to hear how it all goes! Be Well, have fun! ;)

Please let us know how you go! Good luck...

  • I too suffer from anxiety (not diagnosed) and I wish you well.
I know from experience that when I force myself to go through with it, I always thank myself afterwards.
Good luck, enjoy, find something to smile at, and just BE.
And don't forget to report back!
I'm attending temple for my first time Sunday!
