Happy Double-10 Day!

SileSile Veteran
edited October 2012 in General Banter
All my childhood I celebrated Double-10 day (October 10, or 10/10) without really knowing why ;) Just thought it was another of the many lucky days. Even now my family members exchange Double-10 day salutations.

Scenes like this were common around Hong Kong - this one's on Lion Rock.

Sounds like a fun tradition! This year my birthday is on 12.12.12, so I figure it's a good day to have a birthday.

Whoa, @karasti - that's intense! Good day indeed :) You should light the candles at 12:12p.m. (or a.m.!)

lol @RebeccaS, my mom thinks she should take the day off and stay home, just in case. But I figure I at least have 9 more days after my birthday until the end of the world ;)

  • Oh, yeah. Seems a bit silly, really. 211212 is way less cool than 121212.
